| The Virgin and Child has a loop on the back to permit it to be sewn onto
a hat or cloak. If it was originally associated with a particular shrine
we cannot now identify it. This item is copied after one in our
own collection. Van Beuningen also has one - unlike ours, his retains the Virgin's head.
Frankly speaking, his collection is nicer than ours.
