| This image of St. Sebastian is a copy of an early 15th century
example. Sebastian was venerated throughout Europe. He is the patron
of archers and a protector against the plague. He also has a special
place in the hearts of serious re-enactors - depictions of him are
among the primary sources of information on medieval and Renaissance
men's underwear. The
backing of this sign is pewter sheet painted with a
translucent red.
