| The 15th century original of the Hand of God Charm Holder is a sew-on
pilgrim sign, but we have adapted it as a brooch. The authentic one was found
with a little Tower, a sign of devotion to Saint Barbara, hanging from it.
St. Barbara is the patron saint of gunners, and she protects her supplicants against lightning.
