Large Lion Brooch

Marianne made this new lion brooch (larger than our good old heraldic lion, which we will also continue to carry). This is a fourteenth-century brooch from ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands (HP3, 3036). He has a sort of goofy expression, but I think he’s adorable.
