Three-Dimensional Peacock

$12.00

What could be cuter than a three-dimensional peacock?  How about a three-dimensional peacock with two tiny peafowl on its back, kissing?

This spectacular toy is copied from one of the molds found at Magdeburg, dated before 1284. It is a slush casting mold and produces a hollow peacock. Check out our mold in the gallery.

To properly play with the peacock, you can hold him and help him walk or dance or give a speech. Or you can drop him onto a pencil or other dowel-like object and spin him until he is dizzy. His tail is so large and beautiful that he cannot stand upright on his own. He will balance on his tail, if you want to make a diorama showing him overcome by drink, but if you are going to add him to your train layout as a tourist attraction, be sure to set him firmly on a base!
