Three-dimensional Shoes Brooch

These excellent long-toed shoes are made up of two separate pieces – a flat pair of soles with a pin and a tricky three-dimensional pair of openwork uppers that hook onto the soles with four little pewter fingers. Copied after a brooch dated 1375-1425, found in the Netherlands.
