Heavy Pewter Chain

$1.00 per link

This heavy pewter chain is based on the square linked chain in the French sculpture of St. Margaret of Antioch at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, dated 1475. See the entire sculpture at http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/works-of-art/2000.641. Similar chains are shown in other artists’ depictions of demicients from the 14th century onward.

This chain looks wonderful as part of a demicient, and it is also a nice heavy chain to wear around your neck, or for other uses. The chain works out to about a half an inch per link, so a foot of chain has 24 links in it. It costs $24 the foot, or a dollar a link.

Sold by the link. To order, add the number of links you want to your cart.
