Lucky Dog Brooch

Are you feeling lucky? If not, you may wish to avail yourself of this infallible charm. The dog in this brooch holds a banderole that reads “BIEN AI A QUI ME PORT” – roughly “Good (luck) to the one who wears me.” Marianne copied it from an examplar in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (Kunstgewerbemuseum/Uměleckoprůmyslové museum).
