A ring brooch in the shape of a shears copied from one of nearly 500 late 13th-century molds preserved in Magdeburg, dating from before 1284. The original mold (see gallery) casts two shear-shaped ring brooches simultaneously and is one of three (!) molds that produce brooches in the form of shears.
