Toy Cooking Pot with Lid

$15.00

The world’s cutest medieval toy cooking pot! Not even 2 inches/50mm tall, but with a closely fitting lid and decorative patterns on the top, bottom, and sides of the vessel. And tiny handles to move it onto and off the grill above your pretend fire or settle it into the pretend ashes to simmer overnight!

Not only is the vessel adorable, the slush-casting mold that produces it is super-excellent. A reproduction of one of the 13th-century molds found at Magdeburg,  a single two-piece mold contains the cavities for both the pot and the cover. You cast one end (we have found it works best to cast the cover first), then – without pausing or opening the mold – you cast the other.

We have made a video of the casting process – find it on Youtube at https://youtu.be/fPG7X2oyNag
