Adjustable Rings

$5.00$20.00 sold individually or as a set of five

Tired of wearing gold and silver rings?  Looking for a token to distribute to your friends and relations – or to total strangers? Going into a ransom tournament and feeling unlucky?   We have the answer!

These delightful adjustable rings are based on a mold from Magdeburg (mid-to late 13th century and before 1284) which casts five rings at once.  Because the face of the mold was not found, we have chosen a mix of designs for the settings and bands,  based on extant molds and rings from the 13th and 14th century.

Each unshaped ring strip is about 3″ / 8cm long. We roll them into circles before shipping; you can adjust the size and trim the ends (if you prefer) to fit. The largest size they will fit is an internal diameter of ~21mm (US ring size 12; UK X 1/2). The smallest rings size our mandrel  measures is internal diameter of ~16mm (US rings size 5; UK J 1/2) – the strips with the smaller bezels can be closed to that readily and a bit beyond.

These are available as individual rings or as a set of all five.
