The King’s Cods Brooch

$5.00

A copy of a brooch from the Netherlands, dated 1325-1375. We cannot explain it!

But a learned friend offers the suggestion that it may be related to the Hook and Cod Wars in the County of Holland, which began in 1350. If it does, it may depict Count William V, who was supported by the Cod faction.
