Organist Brooch

$6.00

Previously published as St. Cecilia, but to me it does not look a lot like a sanctified female – or any female. Be that as it may, an organist for sure! The original was found during excavation at the Bankside car park in Southwark, in dumped material that is believed to have been purposely piled up to support the wharves built in the second half of the 15th century, and is dated 1450-1500.
