Bee Buckle and Chape with Matching Eyelet

$0.75$12.00 single piece or set

This extraordinarily handsome buckle, chape, and eyelet suite is adapted from a painting, c. 1500, attributed to the Meister von Mariapfarr. One of the figures in the Judgement of Daniel is wearing a belt with buckle, chape, and eyelets in this form, although in precious metal. A nice group of objects for a turn of the 16th-century belt – and stylish in mundane clothing as well.

Fits a 3/4 inch or 20 mm wide strap.

If you really love bees (or this painting), you need to check out our bee lacing eyelets based on the picture as well. And the bee hooks and eyes.

Order the matching eyelet here or from its own page.
