Bee Lacing Eyelets

Talk about adorable!  Bee lovers and the extra-stylish will both love these lacing eyelets.

These are based on (precious metal) bee lacing eyelets depicted in a pair of paintings, both dated close to 1500. You can see details in the gallery.  The first is a Judgment of Daniel by the Meister von Mariapfarr, the second a Martyrdom of St. Bartholomew by an unknown painter. Given how tiny the original images are, we looked to medieval images of bees to decide how to mark the abdomens and wings (see for yourself on Mac’s Pinterest board on bees at https://www.pinterest.com/macs_shop/bees/.)
