Quatrefoil Brooch with Stone

$6.00

This is the first item we made where the glass stone is placed in the mold and cast directly into the brooch. We do that routinely now, but back in 2003, we were pretty proud of ourselves! A really handsome brooch!

The original is in the Musée du Cluny; it now lacks its stone. It was recovered from the Seine in the 19th century and belonged to Forgeais’ collection. Probably 14th or 15th century.
